Progress Report for Experiences of Immigrants to Canada
A progress report is a summary and evaluation of progress made towards completing a goal. Even before Canada's Confederation in 1867, this land was viewed as a "Land of Opportunity." So, in the year 2014, how is Canada doing in terms of being this "land of opportunity" for immigrants.
Your progress report should be broken into four parts:
***Important: "To what extent" means that you can discuss and consider BOTH the positive and negative aspects of the historical and present-day immigrant experiences. In the end, you "weigh" how much immigrant experiences have improved since the beginning of Canada's history.
FORMAT: This is being left up to you. Whatever platform you decide to use, be sure that it is supported with specific details and can be completed for Monday.

Your progress report should be broken into four parts:
- Introduction: State your evaluation of the progress Canada has made throughout its history in providing immigrants with positive experiences. Keep in mind the question, "To what extent has the immigrant experience improved since the colonization and settlement of the early Canada?"
- Analysis: Evaluate the experiences of various immigrant groups that have come to Canada and contributed to the historical development of this nation. Compare and contrast the positive and negatives experiences of immigrant groups. You may divide Canada' history into time periods or stages and evaluate each segment individually. Highlight your comparisons and contrast with clear examples from history that are supported with detailed evidence.
- Summary: Make a clear evaluation of the continuity or change of immigration experiences in Canada.
